Agenda for October 22nd Workshop

These agendas are short because they are dense in content and generally take a while for each discussion. I suspect we'll see items 1-2 bundled. 1. The City of Tampa's Ethics Code- modification, effectiveness and structure. Well, IMHO, it's worthless at this point. Staff brought forward changes LAST October that included making ANYONE who spoke about anything but their own personal business LOBBYISTS-- including yours truly. Lobbyists are people who make $$$ for getting business in front of clients. 2. Discussion of the Ethics code-- Please NOTE there is NOT a current copy of the Ethics code attached to On BASE, I am also not sure who from Staff, if there will be staff at TCC to discuss? https://www.tampa.gov/document/ordinance-ethics-code-174286 Here is the copy that comes up when you google it. BUT, I don't know I have to read it to see if it is the copy that they wanted to change at the October 23, 2025 meeting? Discussion for a Bike Pedestrian Advisory Committee-- I look forward to seeing the Walk/Bike Tampa folks AND the Sidewalk Stompers! 4. THANK YOU!!! TCC Attorney and City Attorney to work with all relevant departments and staff to create rules and standard procedures for committees!! My #1 issue is how to part ways with a board member after being appointed??? The never ending appoints MUSTS stop, especially when we have new elected officials with NEW priorities!!
