  1. Commendation for Russell Stanley Jr and Bryan Hunter for planning positive teen activities in Tampa Bay Community.
  2. Presentation by the Tampa Ballet about making professional dance accessible to throughout Tampa
  3. Catholic Charities and Feeding Tampa Bay updating Council on services they provide in the COT and how the COT can help.
  4. Appointment of an Architect (Peter Fertig) to the Barrio Latino Commission.
  5. Re-appointment of Jeffrey Lieser to the civil service board for a 3 year term.  THIS SHOULD ONLY BE UNTIL THE END OF THE MAYOR’S term in office!! When will this be fixed??
  6. Re-appointment of Bruce Gibson  to the Historic Preservation Commission for a 3 year term.  THIS SHOULD ONLY BE UNTIL THE END OF THE MAYOR’S term in office!! When will this be fixed??
  7. Re-appointment of Lee Lowry  to the Code enforcement/public nuisance abatement for a 3 year term.  THIS SHOULD ONLY BE UNTIL THE END OF THE MAYOR’S term in office!! When will this be fixed??
  8. Approving the appointment of Lauren N Huff as a member of the Civil Service board for three years.
  9. TFR funding for structural improvements to Station #3—Here we are AGAIN with TFR getting hosed out of funding.  This time it is NOT even COT funding, it is funding granted by the FL Division of Emergency Management for Wind retrofitting that was offered in FY2023…THEY haven’t done the work??  WHY NOT?  You can bet your butt that if this were funding for TPD, they’d have gotten the work done 2 years ago!!  STOP the nonsense!! Do the wind mitigation!!  I mean, seriously! Are we going to screw around and wait until it costs over a million to get the work completed?
  10. A grant from INSTITUTE OF POLICE TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT (IPTM) for TPD for $102k for overtime high visibility enforcement for bike and pedestrian safety.  Look at page 12+ of the resolution for the most dangerous areas of the City.  In SOG, they happen to be the heaviest trafficked by our homeless population.  Interesting reading.
  11. An EXTENTION of uniform services for FY27 & FY28With Galls LLC, we only signed the contract for the first year in April 2026, why are we spending funds that are NOT approved in the budget at this time?  Do we really need to be spending these funds BEFORE TCC approves the budget?  Especially when we’ve only had services with this company for 5 months?
  12. TPD receives a grant from the States attorney’s office for the purchase of Peregrine computer software to utilize for information and data gathering purposes.  $595k

  14. Renewal of the contract with the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and the COT for $330k for mental health services working with TPD to keep folks out of jail for mental health issues.
  15. Mutual Aid agreement between the TPD and Orange County Sheriff’s office.
  16. Movement of $2.9 million from general fund to TPD.  Movement of $2.5 million to Revenue and Finance from the general fund.  Both items say that it is for General Accounting reasons, but not what the funds are being utilized for?

  18. Vera Green Guardians award for $200k for Downtown Parks/Playground grounds maintenance.  Thanks for providing the list of impacted parks.  Although I am surprised that many South Tampa Parks are on this list.

Vacation of Easement – It is SERIOUSLY time to look at these fees.  Look at the map of this property.  I am fairly certain that the City isn’t doing their fair share to keep this area clear (I think that’s a pretty good guess since it appears that the applicant has structures on this property)  BUT, the problem is that the applicant has built on this easement already.  To gift such a large piece of property for $573 is ridiculous.  When you look at the fees from Raftellas, I hope you seriously evaluate the value of the land you are gifting by doing these vacations!
  64. TREE TRUST FUND—I digress to my tree hugging friends.---THANK YOU Alison Date for contributing the following submission from TTAG---      2 areas of concern:     FIRST : These  funds should ONLY be used for planting the trees not other landscaping expenses as has happened in the past. So while it is useful to list what some of those things that are needed for planting trees they shouldn’t add these words : but not limited to. The money is  supposed to be limited to planting mitigation trees not to subsidize other departmental landscaping  needs. The fund should have an emphasis on increasing the planting of type 1and 2 trees whenever possible. There  seems to be a threshold for not reporting expenses paid out of the tree fund to City Council and it is unclear how that money is being spent. All  moneys used should always follow the tree funding requirements.   (1) Selection, acquisition, installation , and maintenance of trees shall include but not be limited to:     a)         Site preparation, etc…                                                                                            SECOND: (f)        The Tree Trust Fund may be used for funding department requests  upon   City Council  motion and  approv al of  an Agenda Item .This item raises the concern of money from this fund being used for OTHER purposes besides planting mitigation trees. Allowing other  funding requests from departments would go against the intention of the fund. The city has not adequately funded the departments that are involved with maintaining and restoring the urban canopy. There is a shortage of personnel, equipments and other resources.  This fund is not meant to subsidize other departmental needs. The City Council should not have to spend any more time dealing with situations or requests over use of the tree funds that are not related to tree mitigation.  Objection to the words.: may be used for funding department requests Implementation of the TreeTrust fund would become more difficult to enforce if this wording is allowed to be part of the document.  Besides, city Council already has this power. It does not need to be put into the Tree code. It is redundant.

South Howard Project: GMP1- $93m million dollars contract for Design build with Kimmins Contracting.   I am firmly against this project, not to deny a neighborhood relief it is that the stormwater assessment is going to be cleaned out for the rest of our city.  That AND the push for this route had been questionable at best.  3rd, as someone who is currently living 200’  inside my community while they are building on the lot next door.  I think that going down Howard Ave will likely damage the buildings abutting Howard.
