MONDAY special Called BUDGET WORKSHOP

1. Transportation Budget-  There is a powerpoint with some of the larger project included.  But there should be a longer list that includes smaller projects.  Funny, I found a project that had been “cancelled” before the introduction of the budget in the CIP, now it is gone completely from the CIP.  But where did the $340k in federal dollars for the project go?
   TPD Budget Convention Center Budget  TFR Budget     Parks & Rec budget- I think we should take the $400k increase in the Marketing department and give it to P&R?  Or at least get rid of the guy who can’t do 1st grade math between 9 and 12 employees?  That could fund another $210k for parks & rec?  Just sayin…
2. Administration to report on creating a “Parade/event” budget. BOY…do we need this. It’s funny how they create a different account for all kinds of things, but NOT for this?  GO JAMIE ADAIR for digging on this issue.  We need our Stormwater folks working on stormwater.
3. Staff to report why the RFQ was not posted for the Tampa Fire Rescue Fleet & Supply on June 14th as planned?  Because we’re spending all our money elsewhere.  Check this video out of the building that they are going to tear down to build a warehouse?  Wait, what?
