CRA agenda for 8/20/2026

  1. Tampa Heights CAC chair Raj Patel to appear and give a verbal report on the CAC
  2. Monthly CRA Directors report – Art projects updates.  Check out the Project Tracker for the CRA
  3. The Jackson House AGAIN, talk about going NO WHERE…what does it say on the Project Tracker sheet about this mess? It says it is supposed to go to the ARC on 8/1/2026—did that happen?  It’s not on the pretty blue/white spreadsheet in #2 Is there an update after the ARC?
  4. $1.2 million from Central Park, Channel District, Downtown and Tampa Heights districts combined for wayfinding signs
  5. Union Station monthly update- the building has been treated for termites so they should be moving forward with the window installation now.  Again, not on the pretty blue/white spreadsheet.
  6. The Fire Chief to report on the updates to Station 1 or building a NEW building.  Why do we not have a PUBLIC SAFETY IMPACT FEE??  I mean, seriously, the development community has to pay similar fees outside the city, but no requirement here.  I’d also offer that the “forensics lab site” should have ALL the offices for TPD leadership in it for $36 million.  Then they could build a new fire station on that lot with additional housing on top of it?  But, that would make sense!
  7. An in-person report about preservation of small cultural venues from Tom DeGeorge, the Ybor CAC Chair
  8. Report on the park located at 810 Channelside Dr in the Channel District CRA.  The CRA purchased the lot in June 2022.  The design was presented on April 1st to the CAC, yet hasn’t been submitted to the Zoning department yet?  What are they waiting for?
  9. CRA staff to work with the CRA attorney for the implementation of Fire Station 1, continued to October 8th
  10. Appointment of Ansley Blackwell to the Ybor City CAC
  11. Movement of $254k for additional funding of the E Whiting St improvements
