  3. Charter review presentation.  I will withhold comment on this.
  4. Natural Resources committee applicants: 33 applicants for 7 positions appointed by TCC
  5. Mayoral appointment of Richard “Ricky” Peterika to the Natural Resources committee for one year.  I support this nomination.
  6. Mayoral appointment of Jacqueline M. Perry-Cahanin to Natural Resources committee as the professional scientist position for one year.
  7. Mayoral appointment of Kevin Johnson to the Natural Resources committee as the Developer/Builder for one year.
  8. Mayoral appointment of Sam Faraj to the Natural Resources committee as the engineer for one year.
  9. Mayoral appointment of Joseph Brooker to the Natural Resources committee as the arborist for one year.
  10. Mayoral appointment of Nicholas Buchanan to the Natural Resources committee as the real estate professional for one year.
  11. Grant award from the FL division of Emergency management and TFR (Tampa Fire Rescue) for a Homeland Security grant program.  $2000, does the paperwork to receive these funds equal more than that?
  12. Moving funds from FY26 budget for $35k for the TPD Fleet Maintenance  capital fund to buy a trailer?  What kind of trailer?  What will it be used for?
  13. $350k award for Keystone Turbine for Rolls Royce Helicopter Support Services for one year with renewal for up to 4 years.  Gee, $994 PER day for helicopter maintenance.  Wow!
  14. Social Arts and Action Fund-  SAAF- Stageworks services agreement with the COT for up to $15k
  15. SAAF- with Ybor City Museum Society to promote increasing traffic from local residents and visitors, up to $75k.
  16. Contract with Jesuit High school to rent parking from Al Lopez Park for parking while the campus is under construction for the cost of $75 per day, for up to 75 vehicles.
  17. Resolution for costs to clean up the properties located at (1) 805 E Hanlon St, (2) 1920 W Saint John St, (3) 10914 N Boulevard St, (4) 4618 W Pearl Ave, and (5) 1318 W Arch St by the City of Tampa.
  18. Special Event Permit- Tampa Bay Veg Fest
  19. Resolution to approve a Design Build for $198k for Citywide ADA improvements, the project estimated at $2.2million.  The parks to receive these improvements are on page 25 of the last document.
  20. COT accept HMGP grant for back up power to Krause Wastewater pump station modification to extend to December 31, 2026 The funding amount is $1.04million.
  21. Resolution for Change order 2 reducing the final contract amount by $143k with the final payment of $52k to  Burgess Civil, for the Green Artery Segment E-N. Did anyone figure out how to connect the missing part of Sulphur Springs Green Artery?
  22. $2 million for HDR Engineering to Nature Based Solutions at Picnic Island Park that will enhance 492 acres of habitat for fish and wildlife.  This should reduce flooding to Port Tampa City, erosion at Picnic Island Park and create more habitat for oysters and mangroves. Can this be done for Tappan Park as well?  
  23. FY26 budget changes for the Purchasing department for $6300 to purchase computer equipment.
  24. Moving funds in the FY2026 budget to fund Accela for Technology and Innovation department for permitting, and land management systems.  $1.1 million.
  25. Grant of easement to TECO for properties located at 3413 East Ellicott Street and 4915 North 34th St
  26. Amendment to the “Water Tank Agreement” with Verizon for property located at 2001 N Himes Ave increasing the rent by $12k per year until the term expires in August 2029.  The rent will now be $54k per year.
  27. 1st amendment to the agreement with Amtrak for Union stations temporary relocation of rail passenger operations due to updates to the property.
  28. Realease of 30’ stormwater easement by the COT to the school board for property at Adum K-8 which is located at 4210 W Bay Villa Ave
  29. Renewal of a land lease with the United States Government for property located near 7501 S Germer St in Port Tampa City (AKA Picnic Island Park!!) —The increase is TO $1800 per year.  In 2003 it started at $500 per year.  All of the funds from this contract should be assigned to Picnic Island Park which where this easement is located.  Why does it go into the general Parks and Rec fund when it directly IMPACTS Picnic Island??? I mean, it is $1800 but still!!
  30. Tampa Heights MU I LLC,  is conveying by donation, 50 sq ft of property at 2510 North Tampa St for Transportation purposes.  The mobility department needs it for a corner clip for general road use.  Whatever that means?
  31. Recinding a resolution for a public hearing for properties located at 3710 N. 40th Street, 3708 N. 40th Street, 3706 N. 40th Street, 3902 E. Lake Avenue, 3705 N. 39th Street, and 3707 N. 39th Street, bounded by E. Lake Avenue to the South, Lindell Avenue to the North, N. 39th Street to the West, and N. 40th st  to create MORE affordable housing.
  32. Regional Infrastructure Accelerator for $1 million. It would seem that staff should already be doing most of the items described in this contract.  The systems should certainly be in place to monitor and track projects. How often will this team update TCC?  Or will they ever update TCC? It would seem that HNTB Corp would be providing similar services to the folks advising Chief Tripp about Station 24 at the moment.

  34. $1.6 million contract renewal without price escalation for Muska Plumbing for logistics and Asset management.
  35. Janitorial services provided by Mestre Star Cleaning LLC for TPD rebid for $351k
  36. Movement of $1million for operating expenses for logistic and asset management from the general fund.  What do they need it for?  The original allocation was for $4.7 million.  An over 21% increase over the year.
  37. Public Hearing for Stormwater Service Assessment for those inside the COT.  I am NOT for spending all of this assessment on the Howard Ave project.  Just sayin…
  38. Public Hearing for Stormwater Capital Improvement Assessment roll for Central and lower basin improvement--- NOT Just Howard Ave…ALL of the area who is paying taxes!!
  39. Public Hearing for consideration of historic landmark tax for 905 N Florida Ave
  40. Wow!  A requirement for a 3 year issuance of a Public Safety Master Plan.  Kudos to CM Viera for finally getting this done!  I would have LOVED to see a Public Safety Impact fee to move along with this ordinance!
  41. Update on the K-bar Ranch cut through—Administrative Update?  Not sure why because the developer is doing this.
  42. Resolution for the removal of buildings and structures at the following properties.  (1) 2604 N 25th St, (2) 4405 N 38th St, (3) 2208 E 26th Ave, and (4) 2703 W North A St
  43. Update on the “Mike Phillips All Abilities Internship Program”
  44. Mobility department to report the progress on defining what makes a public alley functional and capable of supporting vehicular access?
  45. Report on where trees are being planted by the COT and what types of trees are being planted.  I AGREE with TARA BLUMA!!!  Limit Treemendous to 1-2 type trees for one YEAR…then you can consider it again for next year!
  46. City Attorney’s office to report on amendment to the code to allow suspension of fines and liens to allow property owners to resolve cited issue while working on the problem.  Don’t get me started on this NONSENSE.  I have a friend who was fined because her TREE dude didn’t bother to apply for the permits she paid for (it is on the receipt!)…then she went before the magistrate who fined HER…not her TREE people.  THEN, weeks afterwards, staff shows up and serves her another violation because she didn’t go in and file the retroactive permit.  NOT once did anyone say to her that she had to file the retroactive permit?!!
  47. Social Arts and Action Fund—streamlining the process and educating folks on how to apply for the funding.
  48. Amendment of Rules and procedures for TCC.  I’ll read this after I finish this. I am sure I have something to say about it.  I have asked for a strike through copy, but I'll look at what is there ASAP.
  49. Report on Special needs internship?  Is this not the same as item #43?
  50. TCC requested that all funds from school zone cameras assigned to the COT would be spent IN and ON school zones.  Bottom line is that they NEED this in writing.  “other public safety initiatives” is NOT good enough.  It should be for schools!!! Once schools have all the safety initiatives THEY need then we can re-evaluate the code.
