Charter Review Commission meeting 2/24/26

For those of you who don't know it. The City of Tampa has a Charter that sets out many of the rules for how our City is run. There is currently a citizens group that is reviewing the charter for necessary updates. They are meeting every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month until September 8th unless they get the job done sooner. AFTER the Charter Review Commission (CRC) puts suggestions in place for changes, they will be submitted to TCC for their review. If they pass at TCC, they will be submitted for the Mayor to sign to be placed on the ballot for the Citizens of Tampa to vote up or down. This process happened in 2018 prior to the 2019 elections. Starting tomorrow night, the meetings will be live streamed. I am really hoping that will cut down on the obstructionist BS that is happening in the meetings.
