5/22/25 TCC Workshop agenda

  1. Naming the Multi-sports field after Roland Paz Sr. PLEASE come up with an SOP for this process to make it clear to those applying for it. I am very thankful that you allowed me to honor Lisa Marie Chesser last week but it was stressful not knowing how/when to have family and friends to come support the project.
  2. Applied Sciences to present the Stormwater Master Plan with an overview of what has been done since 2015.
  3. Monthly in person Stormwater Report
  4. Stormwater department to report on 3rd party stormwater maintenance contracts.
  5. Staff to discuss the possibility of a fund to assist property owners with the location of possible unmark graves on a property.
  6. Land Development to report on the terms of parking leases for an approved sight plan that must be at least 5 years long with no break lease clause.
  7. Publicly initiated text amendment cycle for July 2024—this is NOT the overall LDC changs but several amendments that could NOT wait for that process. To include: a. Petitions for review go directly to council, not to hearing officer. b. No longer allowing developers to re-submit the project less than 12 months after a denial. THANK YOU!!! c. Driveway length and garage sizes—THANK YOU! d. Build to line clarification—Can you say PARIS ST…. nuff said. (SOMEONE SMARTER THAN ME NEEDS TO LOOK AT THIS…because I am not sure it says what CW Hurtak was requesting????) e. Consolidate types and amend review criteria to add notice requirements. f. Create standards for a site plan g. Denials by the ARC admin would go to the ARC board. h. Amend languages for extended family residences to mimic ADUs. i. Elimination of Footnote 7- MUST justify reduction in set backs for tree preservation. j. Utilize arborist report for tree removals k. Remove the need for single family attached to provide buffer with other group uses. l. Standards for AC and pool equipment in the flood zone. (Although the language doesn’t mention the flood zone??? It just says standards, if you are doing this in the FLOOD ZONE, then why would you not require them to be RAISED in addition to the location on the exterior of the home?? They should be raised at least 4’ from the ground level or at least over the BFE?? NIGHT MEETING----- IMPORTANT--- 501 PM…. Have public hearings been had on ANY of these AFTER THEY WERE WRITTEN...NOT that I know of???
  8. THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN!!! Make sur to watch!! TCC is not going to transmit it yet, but the presentation should prove very interesting! Future Land Use is 478 pages long and NOT one public information session has been had since the document was published???!!!!
  9. COMP Plan—Housing--- I’ve never even seen this before? What meetings where had about THIS document? 65 pages
  10. COASTAL MANAGEMENT—COMP PLAN—I haven’t seen it in months… where are the meetings had for this product? 98 pages long. I know they moved a large chunk of it to the FLU section.
  11. It says it’s a publicly initiated text amendment, but it sure doesn’t look like one and on page 33 of the document it SAYS Privately initiated…TCC said no more of those!!
