- City looked into purchasing the fresh kitchen property for a park…yet, the City flat out refused to work with the developers on Rattlesnake Point to put a waterfront park in our community!! Just sayin…Parks and Rec said no to the Howard property. What really SUCKS is that property will probably now become a stupid townhome project with NO ACCESS for the public. SMH.
- Update on the LDC code. I went to the meeting last week, it left a lot to be desired that only 6 members submitted comments, that’s disappointing. I am VERY concerned about ANY discussion that TCC would not have final review or say so in land use changes. There was mention in it that it would have to go to court. That’s simply beyond the reach of neighborhood leaders who VOLUNTEER. I’d also say that there is an issue with folks in the administration who TELL staff the decisions on administrative approvals. I’d prefer to see, you can ONLY do what the current land use is and NO REZONING, NO Comp Plan Changes before we hand everything over to an administrator because we seen that the current processes aren’t working.
LAST but not least. For those of you who do NOT do social media.
I came across this interview this week. Here we are 2 YEARS LATER....with very little changes.
