- Standard Hall License for The Straz Center to hold Annual Parks and Rec recitals, not to exceed $38k.
- Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant is converting from Diesel to Natural Gas $72k for the service lines and set up for this conversion.
- Xtremely Clean Janitorial Services without price escalation for Parks North. $676k (Ideally, for contracts like this “Parks NORTH” would be defined in one place- a list on one page of the parks covered) Why is this under public works not Parks and Rec? I thought I asked about something else showing up in this committee in the past couple of weeks.
- Someone correct me if I am wrong…but I am looking at the paperwork--- the original contract was for $914k even though it was the higher of the two bids—page 9/106 says there was a lower bid for $756k initially. Not sure why that bid wasn’t chosen? BUT, this Change order is DOUBLING the price of the original contract- which now makes it applicable for the apprenticeship requirements. How are the still exempt? This contract is with Stage Door II for road work.
- Renewal without escalation for removal of Humate residual material removal services for $800k
- 3rd amendment to grant agreement from the State of FL DEP for the SIX water treatment program. $115k
- O this is nice, Stage Door II reduced the contract by $114.79 for roadway restoration for their final payment. I guess they didn’t need it considering the other $914k from item #24?
- Moving Downtown CRA money in the amount of $810k to round out the improvements to Herman Massey Park. The initial estimate was 1,866,733.81 but only funded with $1.5 million which left a shortfall of $366k. BUT they say that there is a 3% increase in the cost- which is $1.92 million, they are asking for an additional $77k for the project to be moved as well? THAT $809,909 is MORE THAN 3%

- These are the contracts with developers with an 18% increase for $1 million for the last regular item agenda. I will reserve my comments until I hear these items discussed. But I find it interesting that COT denied another increase of this nature because it was too high but they’re all in to give these folks this increase?

- It looks like someone withdrew the 18% increase for PCL Construction??
- Change order with Dallas 1 Construction for adding $10.4 million for construction of Water Utility Relocation THUS DOUBLING the contract? Doesn’t that put it over the 2 reading limits?
- Change order with RTD construction for $14.4 million THUS DOUBLING THE CONTRACT?? That puts us over the two reading limit as well??
- Cleaning contract for parking garages and surface lots, the cover page says there were 6 bids, but I scrolled through all documents (200 pages) and didn’t see the list of bids? $2million is the price of the item.

- 3 BID purchasing requirements to be heard.
- Staff discussion about requiring projects to be approved by council IN ADDITION to be submitted to the CIP.
- The CFO to report the status of the budget for the Communications department. I’d like to know WHY DOES TCC NOT HAVE A COMMUNICATIONS person?? The administration IGNORES that we 8 elected officials in the COT! Otherwise I see communications people popping up like daisies...
- Staff to appear to discuss the appointment of the Community Benefits Agreement Committee—It’s been a while but wherever the CBA is approved, the Neighborhoods should be included for those communities. (If I recall correctly, there will be some rotation of members for this purpose?)
- Final language for the Land Development Code Amendment Cycle for January 2024.
- RESOLUTION 568 presentation from Martin Shelby and CM Viera.
a. I believe the Mayor should only have 2 appointees! 9 is plenty of folks for this board. It is difficult to get volunteers for the boards we already have in place.
b. Where is the commitment for staff to do public notice, take minutes and support the needs of the committee from the MAYOR’s office??? c. I’d like to see this item taken immediately AFTER Lunch or after public comment. That way folks don’t have to sit down there ALL day paying for parking to watch the hearings in person. - Staff to present on the process to accommodate vendors on Riverwalk during special events.
