9/22/22 This week TCC has a Workshop meeting--

  1. Rise up for Peace- 5 minute presentation--- followed by 20 minutes worth of TCC comment.
  2. Solutions for citizens impacted by disruptive Stormwater Projects. (ex. Folks trapped on their property, contractors littering on folks property, failure to acknowledge that similar projects may be blocking alternative routes) 3-4. Electric Vehicle Charging stations. Why is the City of Tampa always looking at other places to figure out what WE want to do.... why aren't WE leading the way?
  3. Citizens Review Board- Legal representation and subpoena power. It is obvious after the DOJ investigation was shared with the CRB AT TCC after folks learned about it from the media...something needs to be done to give the CRB some teeth.
  4. Charter Amendments-- Interesting concept, Mayor gets their own attorney, Legal department represents the City of Tampa and TCC Attorney will have the ability to hire outside legal consultation provided for in the budget. This WILL include when TCC attorney is unavailable for consultation.
  5. Discuss why City Legal department can approve contracts and make payments outside the city without TCC approval. I am going to say my piece about 6-7--- I, Stephanie Poynor think that TCC needs additional staff, to include an attorney. I also 100% believe that NO funding should be spent for an outside ethics investigation without it going in front of the ETHICS COMMISSION--- they are independently nominated folks who should operate without political bias.
