Weekly Agenda Review

July 29, 2022

July 29, 2022 #4 Belmar Gardens sewer line work-- note the savings is 16% on this bid. The bid process saved nearly 1 million dollars of our taxes on this project. #6- funding for support of gun violence victims #8- Littering violation changes-- Thanks Mr. Hatch for keeping on this!!! There is nothing in SIRE supporting this item yet? #9 -- Anti-Semite legislation- No REPORT in SIRE

13-14- Protection of elected officials.... see my longer rant about these two items.

#15- Citizens budget committee #16- Setting the new date for the Charter Workshop #17-- Parking Commercial vehicles in residental areas. I KNOW we have a NA with a huge issue with this. I can't recall who it was, if you remember, PM me, I'll make sure they get this notice! #18--Changes to Alcohol and Beverages licensing #19 Greywater systems added to the Bonus agreement options. #20 Development Review-- this is part of the REZ or PD process, not sure about the changes from the report? #21-- Street Cafes #22 Off Street Parking changes- it seems like this was part of a PD? #23- Boat Registration fees #24- Crossing Guard agreements with the Sherriff's Department-- does the funding come from the city for this? I would think it should come from HCPS? #25 A grant for Emergency Services-- some of these funds go to TPD- State law does not allow the reduction of spending on police, what happens when these grant funds expire, will the City be required to continue funding the gap???? #26-- Grant for Emergency Services-- TPD not named ##29-- Not sure why there are docs for another municipality. I will look back today. THIS IS IT FOR NOW.... but I wanted to get this out there as it is a HEAVY agenda!

Tampa City Council Short list.... if you can do 80+ items as short. #30- there is no bid sheet?? $129k w/o bids being public #31- Implementation of Paddle board rentals in public parks- 20% of the profits come back to the city from the vendor. #32- Escalation Computation for mulch. It says that maximum escalation should be 8.5%, why do we automatically pay 8.5%? Why not offer 8% and negotiate? Just a thought... this is for mulch for Parks and Rec. #42- Sidewalk Repairs and Maintenance-- the two lowest bids were accepted, why? They aren't the same bids? (According to the citywide contract sheet, they have different items listed?) Where will this work be completed? There is no mention of the area to receive $600k (which according to my sources IS the sidewalk fund on the FY 2022???) #71-- Affordable housing support funding from HUD to HOME through City -- this is a great project in South Tampa- We have met with the developer and it will provide some wonderful housing opportunities for our area. #73 - Comp Plan update- #74-- What is the Westshore Fund- I haven't looked yet. #75 Revised Pricing for Right of Way, other permit services #76- Changes to Chapter 27 only for the Central Business District #77 Changes to Chapter 27 for Channelside District only #78 Changes to Food Truck regulations #79 Changes to Homebased Businesses #80 Changes to Channelside CRA #81 --- HISTORIC Designation to 520 N Tampa St--- this is the building with FIRST WATCH in it.... wanting to tear it down to build multifamily? Thanks for following... feel free to share!
